Karkala, Sep 12: The Pre-University education department, Government of Karnataka, organized the Karkala taluk-level girls’ volleyball tournament at KMES PU College, Karkala. In this competition, the girls’ team of Christ king Pre-University College secured first place and qualified for the upcoming Udupi district-level tournament.
The team was represented by Varuna Shetty, Raksha, Rufiya Banu, and Sachi Shetty from first year commerce; Preeta, Aditi Acharya, and Shravya Shetty from first year science; Neha V and Raveena from second year commerce; and Shrutha from second year science.
Among the individual honors, Varuna Shetty was adjudged best attacker, while Shravya Shetty bagged the best passer award. The team was trained under the guidance of physical education teachers Krishna Prasad, Prakash, and Lavanya.
