Mangalore: Qazi Tours District to Help Families with Differently-abled Persons

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (RD)

Mangalore, Feb 9: Qazi Twaka Ahmed Musliar was taken on tour of Dakshina Kannada district by Talent Research Foundation to get first hand information on community’s families affected by physical disabilities.

He visited a family at Chennar Paltad in Puttur taluk, which has five physically challenged in a single family. 34-year-old Sharif is crawling, 32-year-old Isaac, 30-year-old Reshma, 25-year-old Hanif and 28-year-old Salim are being taken care of by their mother Bibi Jaan.

Muslim Central Committee and Kolya Swami donated a petty shop Bibi Jaan, which has become a source of livelihood for the family.

Mohammed, residing at Surikumeri in Bantwal taluk has been bed-ridden since 6 years owing to paralysis. His daughters are spinsters and he is worried about their future. In another instance, Qazi Twaka Ahmed was moved by the plight of three mentally-challenged children in Mohammed Rafiq’s family, residing at Pattmudi Kukkaje, 22-year-old Balquis and 19-year-old Shaikh Abdulla.

Qazi later said, "Allah has created them, to test how we take care of them. We are answerable to Allah. It is the responsibility of the community to help them. Khatibs, Jamaat office-bearers including members are expected to visit the community in their respective region, and support such families. Jamaat office-bearers should not restrict their duties in disbursing salaries of Moulawis and their food facilities, instead they should be concerned about the helpless in the community,"

Special School to begin in Malabar Islamic Complex:

A residential special school for the physically challenged will be opened at Malabar Islamic Complex, Chattanjal, Kasargod shortly. It will be a boon to the physically challenged. There are plans to open a similar school at Shamsul Ulama Islamic Academy, Thodar in Dakshina Kannada district, said Qazi Twaka Ahmed Musliar.

Qazi Twaka Ahmed also participated in a cleanliness campaign at Nandavar Jamaat, which was flagged off on the occasion of Eid Milad. He stressed on the need to keep the surroundings clean. Besides, he prayed for a community brother who has recovered from alcohol addiction since six months.

Qazi Twaka Ahmed was accompanied by Abdul Khader Darimi Kukkila, B Basheer Mangalore Marketing, Abdul Khader Haji Evergreen, Suleiman Belvai, Mohammed Hanif Alangar, Noushad Faizi Kannur, Rahim B C Road, Talent Research Foundation promoter Riyaz Kannur, Abdul Hamid Kannur, Yahya Mubarak, Mohammed U B, Asif Kannur, Mohammed Bellaccharu, Rafiq Master and others.

Good job Qazi Saab. May your tibe increase. People should be educated and brought to the main stream of life. Then there will be peace, love and understanding among us all. Allah, the Loving Creator, created us to enjoy life but we due to our own folly suffer and blame Him for that. We should help our brothers around us without thinking of cast and creed or colour. May Allah bless you and make you a model for others.Kudos to Daiji World for publishing the good news.

Very good work done by Kazi Saheb.Frankly speaking, this is the first time that I am reading about a Kazi going out of the mosque to do social work. Certainly, if a large number of Muslim clerics follow the good example set by our Mangalore Kazi, the the condition of our Muslim brothers and sisters will improve and also pave the way for better social harmony.
