Karkala: Daughter of daily wagers wins Rs 1 lac CM scholarship to pursue doctor dream

Karkala, Sep 17: Vinuta, a young girl from Renjala in Karkala taluk, who dreamt of pursuing medical studies despite financial difficulties, has achieved success by excelling in her academics and securing the Chief Minister’s scholarship.

During the Democracy Day celebrations held at the Vidhana Soudha banquet hall, the state government awarded the CM’s scholarship of Rs 1 lac each to the top 15 students from government residential schools across Karnataka.

Vinuta, daughter of Leela and Chinga from Renjala, Karkala, received the award from chief minister Siddaramaiah.

A student of Miyaru Morarji Desai Residential School, she had scored 96% in her PUC exams, securing first rank. She has now enrolled at Sharada Yoga and Naturopathy Medical College, Mangaluru, to pursue her medical aspirations.
