Muscat, Sep 17: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday night announced changes to Team India’s practice and media interaction plans ahead of their group-stage fixture against Oman in the Asia Cup 2025.

As per the original schedule, India were to hold a three-hour training session at 6 pm (Gulf time) on Wednesday (Sep 17), followed by a pre-match press meet. However, the BCCI later informed that the team management had decided to designate the day as a rest day.

“Please note there will be no media and practice session tomorrow. It is a rest day. Will convey practice and PC time for pre-match PC for Thursday later,” the board said in a communication to media representatives.

India had already conducted a full-fledged practice session on Tuesday, with the entire squad participating in preparations for Friday’s must-win tie against hosts Oman. The board had earlier clarified that the practice and press meet schedule shared at the start of the tournament would remain subject to change.
