Bantwal, Sep 17: Vishwakarma Jayanti was celebrated on Wednesday at the taluk office hall under the aegis of the Bantwal taluk administration’s national festivals celebration committee.
Delivering a message on the occasion, Ramesh Purohit said that Vishwakarmas are contributing to the country’s development in a socially responsible manner.







Presiding over the programme, deputy tahsildar Divakar Mugulya said that the Vishwakarma Jayanti celebration will be organised in a more meaningful way with the cooperation of society next year.
Bantwal urban planning authority president Baby Kundar said, “The whole world stands today because of the ideas and designs of Vishwakarmas. We must organise the programme on a larger scale in the coming years.”
Vishwakarma Seva Sangha president Sudhakar Acharya noted that along with celebrating Vishwakarma Jayanti, there is also a need to think about the upliftment of the community.
Honorary president Manoj Acharya Nanya said, “Next year, the government and society should come together to celebrate the Jayanti, and the schemes initiated for the welfare of society should reach the people.”
Vice president Sandeep B Acharya Bhandaribettu sought the cooperation of all for the community’s progress. Leader Sunil B Acharya said that Vishwakarmas give life to sculpture through their craft. Horticulture department assistant director Dinesh Acharya spoke about the challenges facing the community.
On this occasion, Yashodhar Acharya was felicitated. Taluk guarantee implementation committee president Jayanti V Poojary, Vishwajyoti Mahila Mandali vice president Prapulla Acharya, and community leaders including Ashok Acharya, Jayachandra Acharya, Vishwanath Acharya, and Yuvaraj Acharya were present.
