Udupi, Sep 18: Students of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, showcased their sporting excellence by winning prizes in the VTU Mangaluru division table tennis tournament 2025-26, held at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru, on September 15 and September 16.
The women’s team of SMVITM secured the second prize, while the men’s team clinched the third prize in the tournament. With this achievement, the women’s team has also been qualified to participate in the VTU state level tournament, scheduled to be held at BMS College of Engineering, Bengaluru, from September 22 to September 23.
The management, principal, and physical education director of SMVITM congratulated the students for their commendable accomplishments and wished them continued success in future competitions.
