Doha, Sep 21: Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ), in association with Karnataka Royals Team, hosted the player auction for the upcoming Karnataka Rajatha Cup Cricket Tournament, a highlight of KSQ’s silver jubilee year celebrations.
The prestigious tournament will take place from October 14 to 17, featuring eight competitive teams: Hannan Cricket Club, Smart Qatar, Royal Qatar, United Challengers, Udupi Cricketers, Alliance Qatar, Invincible CC, and BT Gang.
The auction event
The auction was held at Hotel Signature by Marza and expertly compered by Chidanand Rai, who opened proceedings by introducing Raghuram, one of the key organisers. Raghuram extended a warm welcome to guests, sponsors, and participating teams, media partners commending their enthusiasm and commitment.
The first phase of the player auction was conducted with professionalism by Ramshi, setting the tone for an exciting evening.
Formal ceremony

In his presidential address, Ravi Shetty appreciated the organising committee’s tireless efforts and highlighted the Rajata Cup’s significance during KSQ’s milestone year.
Jersey launch
After the Pool Draw, team jerseys were officially unveiled. Presenting the jerseys to team management were:

Closing highlights
After a sumptuous dinner, Ramshi returned to conduct and conclude the final phase of the player auction with efficiency.
