Udupi: 'Conscendo 2012' Management Fest Begins at Manipal University

Udupi, Feb 9: A journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step. 'Conscendo 2012', the first step taken by the department of commerce, Manipal University in organising a management fest, got off to a splendid start here on Thursday February 9.

The inaugural ceremony was initiated by Dr G K Prabhu, registrar of Manipal University. He was accompanied by the I/C head of the department of commerce Sandeep Shenoy, faculty coordinator Guru Prasad Rao, president of Zephyr (student committee) Shreyas Shetty, event coordinator Elroy Colin Moras on the dias.

The ceremony started with a prayer by assistant professor Niranjan Prabhu and lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries on the dais.

The head of department Sandeep Shenoy then welcomed the gathering, followed by Elroy Moras, the brain of the event, briefing the assemblage about the event with a visual presentation on Manipal University and 'Conscendo 2012'.

Chief guest Dr G K Prabhu delivered an inspirational speech, wherein he narrated the story of a businessman finding confidence to restart his business after suffering severe losses.

Faculty coordinator of the fest Guru Prasad Rao concluded the inaugural ceremony by delivering the vote of thanks.

The aim of 'Conscendo 2012' is to promote and develop managerial capabilities of the students and promoting Manipal University's vision.
