Kaup, Sep 23: A tragic hit-and-run accident claimed the life of 21-year-old Anush Bhandary in Kaup on Monday September 22.
Anush, a resident of Santhekatte-Kallianpur, working in Mangaluru, was reportedly returning home on his scooter when the incident occurred. According to sources, after the initial collision, other vehicles may have run over the body, leaving it severely mutilated.
Anush, who had been working in Bengaluru, had returned to Udupi just six months ago.
The body was shifted to Ajjarkad Government Hospital in Udupi, where a post-mortem examination was conducted.
A case has been registered at Kaup police station, and investigations are underway.
