Mangaluru, Sep 24: The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, celebrated the auspicious occasion of Sharada Pooja along with the inauguration of a new classroom at Aviation campus on September 24. The event was marked by traditional rituals, devotional offerings, and prayers seeking the blessings of Goddess Sharada, worshipped as the goddess of knowledge and learning.

The ceremony was graced by eminent dignitaries of Srinivas University. Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor of Srinivas University and president of A Shama Rao Foundation, presided over the function. He was joined by Dr A Srinivas Rao, pro-chancellor and vice president of the Foundation, Vijayalakshmi R Rao, trustee member and director of the Foundation, Prof Er A Mitra S Rao, trustee member and secretary of the Foundation, and Dr Anil Kumar, registrar of Srinivas University.

The inauguration of the new aviation classroom was a highlight of the day, symbolizing the institution’s commitment to enhancing learning spaces and promoting educational excellence. The event was conducted under the guidance and support of Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies. Anjana T V, head of the department, with active participation from the faculty members and staffs of the Institute of Aviation Studies.

Adding a spiritual and cultural touch to the celebration, students of the Institute of Aviation Studies presented bhajans in devotion to Goddess Sharada. Their soulful singing brought peace and devotion to the event. The day concluded with prayers for the prosperity of students and staff, making the occasion a memorable blend of tradition and progress at Srinivas University.
