Bantwal: Robbery accused absconding for 10 years arrested in Vittal

Bantwal, Sep 25: Vittal police have arrested a man accused in two robbery cases who had been absconding for the past 10 years. The arrested has been identified as Ashraf alias Chilli Ashraf (32) of Kuloor village in Manjeshwar taluk.

He was wanted in connection with a case reported on August 7, 2015, when he allegedly threw chilli powder at Jagadish Kamath in Vittal town and committed robbery.

 

Another case was registered against him on January 23, 2016, for breaking into a wine shop in Kolnadu village and stealing cash.

As the accused failed to appear before the court in both cases, a warrant had been issued against him.

    this kind of face is quite common in Mangalore ... does not look criminal at all ... why he went to Bantwal to do robbery ... why not in Manjeshwar itself ...
