Mangalore, Feb 10: “A form of Rave party organized at St Mary’s Island, Malpe in Udupi district has created equal disgrace to the town as viewing of the porn video in the assembly by the ministers. Hence the district in-charge minister Dr V S Acharya and local MLA K Raghupathi Bhat deserves dismissal from power", vexed Justice M F Saldanha said on Friday February 10.
Addressing the reporters, the former judge of Mumbai and Karnataka High Court said that St Mary’s Island is a place people consider to be sacred and ideal for the pilgrimage. Few also go there to conduct meditation. Hence usage of drugs, liquor and few indulging in sexual activities should be condemned by the people living in that coastal area irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
Just like how ministers were sacked after they were caught by TV cameras while watching porn video clippings, district in-charge minister and MLA of Udupi also should be sacked from their posts by the state Government, he urged.
In Goa beaches too situation was worsened with foreign tourists indulging in illegal activities earlier, but people rose up to condemn such moves hence it was a global disgrace, he said and added no where in world in any beaches people are allowed to express their sexual desires or engage in illegal activities, he pointed out. P B D’Sa was also present at the press meet.
