Mangaluru, Sep 27: Commemorating "Good Governance Day", celebrated in India in honour of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, emerging youth author Reshel Bretny Fernandes has released her latest book titled Surajya: Good governance wheel of democracy.

The book, published by Tanisha Publications, New Delhi, is a thought-provoking work that explores the core tenets of good governance and democratic participation. It serves as a testament to the author’s vision of connecting citizens—especially the youth—with the systems of administration, in order to build a more responsive, transparent, and inclusive governance model.

Surajya is being distributed globally and is now available across over 39,000 libraries worldwide, as well as on several reputed publishing platforms, marking a significant milestone for the young author.

In her writing, Fernandes underscores the importance of citizen engagement in democratic processes. Her work encourages individuals to actively participate in governance systems to ensure administrative solidarity and effectiveness. As a young voice, she advocates for a governance model where people are not passive observers but co-participants in democratic delivery.

The foreword to the book is written by Anil K Antony, national secretary and national spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), New Delhi, who offers his reflections on the legacy of former prime minister Vajpayee and extends his best wishes to the author. He commends Surajya for echoing the principles Vajpayee stood for—democracy, development, and dignity for all.

With Surajya, Reshel Bretny Fernandes hopes to spark conversations on effective governance and inspire the youth to uphold and carry forward the democratic legacy of India’s visionary leaders.
