Mangaluru, Sep 29: A joint event titled “Sauharda Tenehabba” (harmony festival) was organised on September 28 at the residence of Suji Anna (Tarakka) in Nejiguri.
The programme was jointly organised by Nejiguri Gumpu, Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh (R) – city deanery, Karavali Manikya Seva Samsthe (R), Prithvi Seva, Catholic Sabha city varado and Catholic Sabha Shaktinagar unit.
The programme was presided over by Santosh D’Souza, Bajpe, president of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh (R).






















































The main guests included Fr Gerald Lobo, Capuchin, superior of St Anne's Friary, Jail Road; Manoj Kumar, advocate, Vamanjoor; Paul Rolphy D’Costa, former president of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh and PRO; Nataraj Pachchanadi, chief secretary of Karavali Manikya Seva Samsthe (R), Mangalore; Balakrishna Kukkiyan, proprietor of Shri Devi Catering; Chaitra, programme coordinator; Pradeep Gaurish, president of Prithvi Seva; Wilma Monteiro, general secretary of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh (R) and president of Catholic Sabha city varado; and David Crasta, president of Catholic Sabha Shaktinagar unit.
The event began with a prayer song and lighting of the lamp. Baby Saachi welcomed the gathering with a dance performance. Arun D’Souza, interfaith dialogue coordinator of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh (R), delivered the welcome address. The “Mugrody Tigers” group performed a tiger dance. Social worker Subhakar Mugrody was felicitated. Children presented a dance performance, and all dignitaries were honoured with mementos. As part of the social outreach, financial aid in the form of cheques was handed over to two families.
Wilma Monteiro proposed the vote of thanks. Rakesh Nejiguri anchored the event.
The programme concluded with a fellowship meal.
