Hospet, Sep 30: Popular Konkani actor and founding artiste of ‘Sangon Mugdana Kalakar’, Sunil Pinto, passed away on Monday evening due to cardiac arrest while at his agricultural land in Hospet. He was 49.

Sunil entered the world of entertainment in his youth, actively performing in plays and comedy sequences. Later, after moving to Dubai, he became a member of ‘Udentichi Neketram’, Moodbidri, where he had the opportunity to act in dramas directed by Pradeep Barboza. His passion for theatre eventually led him to become one of the founding artistes of ‘Sangon Mugdana Kalakar’.

With his natural wit and effortless acting style, Sunil gained a large fan following. He was part of several successful dramas, including Sangon Mugdana, Utre Uzvadle, and Maka Nangi.

Even after returning to India, Sunil remained active in acting. His performance as a butcher in the recently released ‘Tambdo Note’ won him wide popularity among Konkani audiences. He also acted in the much-awaited Konkani film ‘Bapache Putache Navim’, which is scheduled for release in November.

His sudden demise has left a deep void in the Konkani theatre and film industry. Sangon Mugdana Kalakar and Udentichi Neketram have expressed profound grief at his passing.

Sunil's funeral rites will be held on Thursday, October 2 at 9:30 am, followed by Mass in Corpus Christi Church cemetery, Masthikatte, Moodbidri.

RIP Bro! Such an active & hardworking young man suddenly collapsing (without any warning signs), and dying is very much unusual and shocking; this appears to be an ADR (VITTS) of the killer jab!
