Rashtriya Poshan Maah valedictory held at Yenepoya Naturopathy, Yogic Science College & Hospital

Mangaluru, Oct 3: The department of Nutrition & Dietetics, Yenepoya Naturopathy & Yogic Science College & Hospital (a constituent unit of Yenepoya, deemed to be University), successfully conducted the valedictory programme of Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2025 (National Nutrition Month 2025) on September 30 at YNYSCH auditorium.

The programme was presided over by Dr Puneeth Raghavendra, principal, and the chief guest was Dr Veeraj Hegde, professor & HoD, Department of Swasthavruttta and Yoga, Yenepoya Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital.

As part of the month-long celebration, several events were organized to spread awareness about nutrition and wellness:

• Quiz competition – to test knowledge on diet and wellness.

• Reels competition – encouraging students to creatively spread nutrition messages.

• Traditional cooking competition – showcasing the importance of local, seasonal, and wholesome foods.

• Department magazine “Poushtikam” – student contributions were invited, with the best article awarded a special prize.

The series of activities saw enthusiastic student participation and highlighted the importance of nutrition for health and wellbeing. The valedictory programme concluded with words of appreciation for the organizers and participants.

The celebration was coordinated by the organising secretaries Dr Sunitha, assistant professor and Ajith, assistant professor cum dietician, department of Nutrition and Dietetics, whose efforts made the event a grand success.
