Udupi, Oct 5: Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal, organised an orientation programme for the newly joined B E students at the institute premises on Sunday, October 5.
The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the H H Vishwavallaba Teertha Swamiji of Shri Sode Vadira Mutt, in the presence of the chief guest, Prabhav N Rao, MD, Leapfrog Services, Bengaluru.
Prabhav N Rao addressed the students on his journey of entrepreneurship and motivated the young mind to dream ambitiously and strive to become successful individual and future entrepreneur.
H H Vishwavallaba Teertha Swamiji in his presidential address ignited the inner conscious of students and guided them to focus on their field of interest, and excel in their career by making their parents, institute, and the country proud.
Rathnakumar, secretary, Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust, expressed his gratitude to the parents and students for having faith and confidence in the institution and assured them that the college and the management are bound to give the best education to the students.
Dr Radhakrishna S Aithal, CEO of Sode Group of Institutions highlighted on the roadmap of the institute. He emphasised the growth of the institute in multi-dimensional way and assured the parents about the continuous support for the overall development of the students, and taking care of their wards with moral support.
Dr Nagaraj Bhat, dean, Academics highlighted the various facilities available in the college for the students to excel in their career, and also the overall academic curriculum guidelines.
P Srinivas Tantry, vice-president of Shri SSVMET and Harish Belman, hon’ble GC member were present on the dais. The principal of SMVITM, Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the major accomplishments of the institution.
Three students who joined the institution with top 3 ranks in CET examination were felicitated and few parents shared their expectations on this occasion.
Dr Subbulakshmi N Karanth, head of department of Chemistry introduced the chief guest. Dr Lolita Priya Castelino, HoD of Mathematics proposed the vote of thanks. The programme started with an invocation by Chitkala. Faculty members of the institution, Ashritha Naveen, and Karthik V compered the programme.
