Mangaluru: Minister K J George visits St Lawrence Church & Shrine, Bondel

Mangaluru, Oct 5: The St Lawrence Church and Shrine, Bondel, was honored by the visit of K J George, minister of Energy, government of Karnataka, on Sunday, October 5.

In the evening, George was warmly welcomed by Fr Peter Gonsalves, principal of St Lawrence English Medium School. A short prayer service was then conducted by Fr Peter Gonsalves, invoking God’s blessings on the dignitaries and all present.

A felicitation ceremony followed, during which Rudy Pinto, former vice president of the Parish Pastoral Council, felicitated K J George with a flower bouquet, shawl, memento, and garland as a token of respect and appreciation.

The event was graced by Fr Lawrence Cutinha, assistant parish priest, and John D’Silva, current vice president of the Parish Pastoral Council.

Among the distinguished guests accompanying KJ George were Ivan D’Souza, MLC, J R Lobo, former MLA, John Monteiro, president of Rachana, and Harish Kumar, president of MESCOM, Mangaluru.

The visit of the minister brought great joy to the parishioners. The St Lawrence Shrine felt truly blessed by his presence, marking the day as a memorable and meaningful occasion for the Bondel parish community.
