Daijiworld Media Network – Kadaba Kadaba, Oct 6: A schoolteacher engaged in official census work was left shocked after her parked car was vandalised in broad daylight in Kodimbala ward, prompting swift police action. Ramani B, a teacher at Konalu Government High School, was deputed for social and educational census duties. On October 5, at around 10:20 am, she was conducting a survey at Shankar Pajovu's residence in Kodimbala ward No. 13. Her car had been parked a short distance away on the roadside. In a sudden and unprovoked act, Shankar Pajovu allegedly attacked the vehicle with an iron rod, shattering the rear windshield. The motive behind the vandalism is not yet known. “I was inside the house carrying out my census duties when I heard a loud noise. I came out and saw the rear glass of my car completely smashed,” Ramani said in her complaint. The teacher immediately filed a report with the Kadaba police station and also alerted the local Tahsildar. Acting on her complaint, police detained the accused, Shankar Pajovu, who is currently in custody. An investigation is ongoing to ascertain the cause of the attack and whether it was premeditated.
