Puttur, Oct 8: After spending 134 days in a coma following a horrifying road accident, Apoorva Bhat (30) passed away on Tuesday, October 7, at a private hospital in Mangaluru. Her death has plunged her family and the wider community—many of whom had been praying for her recovery—into deep mourning.

The accident took place over four months ago near Mura on the Mani–Mysuru National Highway, when a private bus collided with a car. Apoorva and her father, Eshwar Bhat of Andepuni, sustained serious injuries in the crash, while her young daughter, who was also in the vehicle, escaped with only minor injuries.

Both were rushed to a Mangaluru hospital. While Eshwar Bhat eventually recovered, Apoorva remained in a critical condition, never regaining consciousness. Despite relentless medical efforts, her condition showed little improvement over the months.

Her husband, Ashish Saradka, became a symbol of hope and perseverance during this difficult time. He took to social media daily, sharing emotional updates and requesting prayers for his wife’s recovery.

“Please pray for the mother whose daughter longs for her love every single day,” he wrote in one of his moving posts that resonated deeply across social platforms.

His appeals struck a chord. Thousands of people across social media followed the family’s journey, sending messages of support, hope, and solidarity. Many joined in daily prayers for Apoorva, offering strength to a man watching his wife battle between life and death.

In a desperate attempt to stay close to her during treatment, Ashish relocated from Bengaluru to Mangaluru, shifting his entire household to be by her side.

But despite his prayers and the collective hope of many, Apoorva succumbed to her injuries on October 7. Apoorva leaves behind a grieving husband and a little daughter who, for months, waited for her mother to come home.

And what caused this accident? How are authorities going to prevent that this doesn't repeat? How many cases do we read on daily basis? Nothing has been Improved.
