Moodbidri, Feb 12: "JD(S) does not believe in caste-based politics. Our leaders are committed to the progress of the entire state. JD(S) will undertake tour in 30 districts with all the activists by forming four teams," said JD(S) supremo and former PM Deve Gowda.

He was speaking at the inaugural of JD(S) Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts' convention here on Sunday February 12.

"I have tendered resignation thrice. We have never craved for power. At one time, when I gave my resignation at midnight, former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee offered to save the government, but I did not reconsider my decision. If JD(S) comes back to power in the state, I will watch over the administration from a distance, keeping myself away from active politics," he said.

He further added, "It is not possible to sit in the pariliament now. The way veteran BJP leader L K Advani was attacked for praising Mohammed Ali Jinnah is a proof to BJPs' internal turmoil."

The voters of Dakshina Kannada are intelligent, educated and experienced, and will certainly choose the right person in the next elections, Deve Gowda said.

Deve Gowda also urged the party activists to bring back H D Kumaraswamy to the helm of affairs in the state by ensuring JD(S) victory in polls.

JD(S) state president and former CM H D Kumaraswamy announced that S L Bhoje Gowda of Chikmagalur and Panchakshari would be the JD(S) candidates to contest for graduates and teachers constituencies respectively.

A rally was held from Thousand Pillars Basadi to the venue, with JD(S) leaders waving at the people in open jeeps.

Deve Gowda arrived when as the welcome song was being rendered by the students of Rotary English Medium High School. The programme began two hours late.

Mangalore APMC president Krishnaraj Hegde welcomed the gathering.

Dakshina Kannada JD(S) district president M B Sadashiv, chief secretary A Vasant Poojary, Udupi district JD(S) president Deviprasad Shetty, local leader Fredrick Pinto and others were present.

Mangalore corporator K Harish joined JD(S) along with his supporters at the occasion.

WHAT A PITY ! HE IS RIGHT WHEN HE WAS PM HE WAS SLEEPING ON THE DIAS THINKING SOMETHING ELSE. KUMARANNA COMITTED TO PROGRESS OF RADHIKA.
THEY NEITHER RULE SINCERELY NOR ALLOW CONGRESS TO RULE. BJP BEING PRINCIPLED PARTY HAD SHOWN ITS UGLY FACE TO VOTERS WITHIN 5YEARS.
WE HAVE LEFT WITH NO OTHER CHOICE TO REJECT PARTY BUT TO OPT FOR INDIVIDUALS WHICH MAY NOT IN THE INTEREST OF THE STATE SINCE THEY FLY LIKE MONKEYS ONCE GET ELECTED.
