Udupi, Oct 13: A factory owner died after suffering an electric shock at his workplace in Bailur, Udupi, on the evening of October 13.

The deceased has been identified as Sunil Soans (45), the proprietor of Sunitha Hollow Block Factory.

Sunil, who had been operating the unit for the past 22 years, was reportedly engaged in his routine work when he accidentally came into contact with a live electrical source.

Local residents, who witnessed the incident, immediately rushed him to the hospital. However, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

The sudden demise of Sunil has left the local community deeply shocked, as he was widely regarded as a hardworking and dedicated entrepreneur.

“He was always on the ground, managing everything himself. It’s hard to believe he’s gone,” said a local resident who knew him personally.

Sunil is survived by his wife, son, and other relatives.
