Media Release

Mangaluru, Oct 17: The kindergarten section of Lourdes Central School organized a series of competitions for Pre-KG, KG 1, and KG 2 students under the theme "Festive Fervour" on account of Deepavali, on October 16. For the KG 1 students, a rangoli competition and a dance competition organized for the Pre KG and KG 2 students.

The main aim of organizing the rangoli and dance competition was to celebrate the spirit of the festival while providing children with an opportunity to express their creativity and enthusiasm. The event sought to encourage artistic expression among young learners, helping them explore their imagination through colours and movement. It also aimed to develop fine motor skills, coordination, and a sense of aesthetics through Rangoli making, while promoting rhythm, confidence, and stage presence through dance performances.

In the Rangoli competition, the little artists used vibrant colours and creative patterns to depict the festive spirit of Diwali. Their designs reflected imagination, patience, and precision.

In the Dance competition, the young performers expressed happiness and energy through graceful movements and lively expressions, dancing to joyful tunes that captured the festive mood.

The principal, Fr Johnson L Sequera and Fr Arul Joseph, coordinator of grades VII and VIII, graced the event.

The events were hosted by Joshna Rathan Naik and Kavya Salian.

The vibrant display of talent was truly a treat for both the judges and the audience.

The programme concluded with heartfelt gratitude extended to all who contributed to its success.
