Mangaluru, Oct 18: Exemplifying grit, teamwork, and sporting excellence, the U-17 girls football team of St Agnes School (CBSE), brought immense pride to the institution by securing the second place in the Ms Grace and Goals Girls Football Competition, held as part of the AICS Sports and Games Meet organised by the Association of ICSE and CBSE Schools (Udupi/Dakshina Kannada Districts). The tournament was conducted on October 14, at Manipal School, Attavar.

Demonstrating remarkable stamina, precision, and coordination, the young Agnites showcased a captivating display of skill and determination on the field. Their dynamic passes, strategic defence, and unwavering focus reflected hours of rigorous training and an indomitable will to excel. Competing against some of the most competitive teams from across the districts, they emerged as a force to reckon with, earning admiration from both spectators and officials alike.

The team included the following spirited players: Reyhana Kaiser Hasan (IX B), Anvitha A (IX D), Nishka Jayaraj B (IX A), Abigail Mikayla Dsouza (IX B), Dhriti Shetty (X B), Chaithanya S K (X B), Akshara (X B), Priyanka Anna Correa (X A), Neora Cardoza (X B), Adithi Ranjan (IX D), Rhiya Rajesh (X A), Dhanvi V K (IX B), Tanishka U Poojary (IX B), and Unnathi G K (X B).

The team’s commendable success was shaped under the expert guidance and mentorship of Kasim, whose consistent motivation, tactical insight, and commitment to excellence steered the players towards this remarkable feat.

Their achievement stands as a shining example of the school’s vision of holistic education where physical fitness, teamwork, and perseverance go hand in hand with academic excellence. This glorious victory has added another feather to the school’s cap, inspiring younger students to pursue their dreams with dedication and passion both on and off the field.
