Mangalore: Accident at Beluvai Shatters Vijaya's Life, Help Sought

Mangalore, Feb 14: Vijaya Flora D’Souza (22), daughter of Severine D’Souza and the late Felix D’Souza, residing at D’Souza Compound, Mangalapadavu, Permude post, Bajpe, Mangalore – 574509, suffered severe head injuries in an accident which occurred at Kantavara Cross, Beluvai, near Moodbidri on January 25 this year.

In the accident, involving a Tata Sumo vehicle and a bus, three persons from Vijaya’s family lost their lives, while Severine and Vijaya suffered injuries.

A J Hospital and Research Centre in the city, where Vijaya Flora D’Souza continues to be treated for her head injuries at the intensive care unit, have certified that the patient needs a prolonged hospital stay over the next few months.

Vijaya’s family has been devastated on account of loss of lives and injuries suffered in the said accident. In addition to emotional loss, the accident also has imposed a huge financial burden on the family in the form of medical expenses.

Vijaya's mother Severine, who is left alone with the responsibility of arranging for funds in the midst of adversities, has requested willing donors to extend possible help.

    That's the reason I always recommend health cards. Recently state govt issued Aradhana health cards to BPL ration card users. I my self took two aged people to take photo to Gram Panchayat. Where a BJP member helped me. Even in Kasturba Hospital Manipal every year they issue Arogya health cards. They give good discounts on check ups n general ward charges. I will pray for Vijaya's health n do the needful.
