Bahadurgarh, Oct 19: What began as a determined step away from a secure corporate job has today become an inspiring success story for thousands of UPSC aspirants across the country. Aditya Vikram Agarwal from Sector 2, Bahadurgarh, who secured All India Rank (AIR) 9 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024, continues to be celebrated months after the results were announced.

Aditya, a graduate of NIT Prayagraj, was working with Tata Motors when he decided to quit his job to pursue his long-cherished dream of becoming an IAS officer. It took him five attempts to achieve success, a journey marked by perseverance, discipline, and unwavering family support.

“Many times I felt disheartened, but my parents, sister, and friends stood by me through every setback. Their encouragement kept me going,” said Aditya, reflecting on his journey. “As an IAS officer, I want to serve the nation by focusing on education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability. My parents have taught me to stay honest and committed to solving people’s problems — that’s the principle I will carry into my service.”

His mother, Madhu Agarwal, recalls the day results were declared as one of the happiest of her life. “It felt like all our prayers were answered. We celebrated by preparing his favourite dishes and visiting the temple for blessings,” she said with a smile. His father, Ram Avatar, shared, “We always told him that honesty and service to the nation matter most. Seeing him achieve this with integrity makes us proud.”

Aditya’s passion extends beyond books — he enjoys cooking and believes maintaining balance is key to success. His elder sister, who has been his constant motivator, said Aditya’s calm nature and focus helped him overcome repeated disappointments.

Aditya’s story stands out as a beacon of hope for every young aspirant daring to leave behind comfort to serve the nation with purpose.
