Tehran, Oct 21: Iran has rejected an offer for renewed talks from the United States and dismissed US President Donald Trump’s claim that Iranian nuclear facilities were destroyed in a June airstrike. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei accused Washington of “imposition and bullying,” calling Trump’s proposed deal “predetermined” and therefore invalid.
Khamenei said on X that Trump’s remarks about bombing Iran’s nuclear industry were empty boasts. “The US President proudly says they bombed and destroyed Iran's nuclear industry. Very well, keep dreaming!” he said, adding that Iran’s nuclear programme is solely for civilian energy purposes, denying any weaponisation.

The Iranian leader also criticised the US for its role in Gaza, dubbing it a “terror state” and accusing Washington of supplying weapons to Israel. “More than 20,000 children and infants have been martyred in these attacks… Were these children terrorists? You are the terrorists!” Khamenei said.
He further accused the US of sponsoring terror groups like Daesh (ISIL) and using them as proxies in West Asia. “You, the US, are the terrorists who've created Daesh and unleashed them on West Asia. They are kept in reserve to be used whenever you wish,” he added.
Khamenei also questioned America’s authority to dictate Iran’s nuclear capabilities. “What position do you hold in the world? How is it any of America’s business whether Iran has nuclear capabilities or a nuclear industry or not?” he said.
