Puttur, Oct 22: The family of a student who died following a honeybee attack near Sediapu will receive Rs 5 lac from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, as announced by the chief minister.

The chief minister made this announcement during the Ashoka Janamana programme on Monday after minister Ashok Rai brought the incident to his attention.

He stated that orders have already been issued to grant Rs 5 lac as compensation to the bereaved family.

Jisha (7), a class 2 student of Vivekananda Primary School, Tenkila, was attacked by a swarm of honeybees while returning home from school. Despite receiving treatment, she succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. Two others injured in the incident are undergoing treatment.

    It's a very generous amount by siddaramaihji's govt, if the incident happened in UP then yogi would've given Rs.300 as compensation just like he had given to students for sanskrit scholarship scheme, but luckily for kannadigas thier state is run by progressive secular minded educated CM Siddaramaihji 🔥.
