Valpoi, Oct 22: The Valpoi Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Krishna Gaonkar, Shivdas Madkar, Gautam Parsekar, seven other identified individuals, and approximately 400 unnamed persons for allegedly storming the Honda Police Outpost, assaulting a local resident, and vandalizing his vehicle.

The incident reportedly unfolded in the early hours of October 20, and is believed to have stemmed from a dispute over loud music played during Narakasur celebrations on the night of Diwali, coupled with prior enmity between the parties involved.

The complaint was lodged by Rupesh Poke, a resident of Honda in Sattari and a known RTI activist, who claimed he was criminally intimidated by the group after he objected to high-decibel music being played past midnight.

According to Poke, the situation escalated when the group allegedly trespassed into the police outpost premises, assaulted him, and damaged his vehicle — acts that police say amount to unlawful assembly, criminal trespass, assault, and mischief.

Authorities have initiated an investigation and are working to identify the unnamed individuals involved in the incident.
