Brahmavar: Leopard dies after colliding with motorcycle, rider seriously injured

Brahmavar, Oct 23: A leopard died after colliding with a moving motorcycle, leaving the rider seriously injured, at Nanchaar under the jurisdiction of Nalkur grama panchayat, Brahmavar, on October 20.

The injured rider has been identified as Bhaskar Shetty, a resident of Nanchaar.

The incident occurred when the leopard suddenly crossed the road as Bhaskar Shetty was returning home on his motorcycle. Unable to control the vehicle, he rammed into the animal, causing the bike to overturn.

Due to the impact, the leopard sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot, while Bhaskar Shetty suffered serious injuries. Locals immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Officials from the Hebri forest department arrived at the scene and inspected the carcass of the leopard. A case has been registered at the Shankaranarayana police station.
