Mr. Rajesh Kumar please correct ur self, Dr. B.B. Shetty was a doctor, and one time forced MLA that too in Brahmavara, keeping him in the lines of Dr. Acharaya is injustice in itself. we can think of only two from udupi who have done a lot, one is the late T.A.Pai, and Dr. Acharya, may his soul rest in peace

Today Udupi is getting good water supply because of V S Acharya. Many roads were widened and tarred in Udupi due to efforts of Acharya. Udupi city got basic infrastructure like DC office, other govt offices etc.. after he became minister.

His contribution to education is enormous. He started few govt medical colleges in the state. He has set out plans for MUSICAL UNIVERSITY in Hubli-Dharwad.

He was never hungry for power. Acharya was Yeddyurappa's first choice for CM post. But he himself denied to take CM post.

Acharya always delivered his best. He never listened to criticism and continued his good work for the people. He never criticized anyone unnecessarily.

Today we have lost such a great personality. It is a huge loss for Karnataka, especially for undivided Dakshina Kannada. People like Acharya are very rarely seen in current politics.

Higher Education Minister Dr V S Acharya was a very mild person with strong RSS ideology & high social standing. The BJP leadership should have relieved him after him quitting the post of Home Ministry. We will miss this simple elderly statesman. May his soul rest in peace!
