Puttur, Oct 25: A charge memo will be issued to the Puttur Rural police inspector in connection with an illegal cattle transport case near Bellichadavu, Ishwaramangala, the district superintendent of police Dr Arun K has announced.

Following the incident, Arun Kumar Puthila reportedly arrived at the spot and noticed that one of the cattle had died. He inquired whether the remaining animals could be unloaded to prevent further distress. When a constable informed the inspector about the matter over the phone, Arun Kumar Puthila requested the mobile phone and personally spoke to the inspector, who gave his consent.

However, it has been stated that the inspector failed to exercise proper caution, which allowed the crime scene to be turned into a political platform. This lapse in judgment was deemed a mistake on the inspector’s part, leading to the decision to issue a charge memo against him, the official statement said.

Action should be taken for all those involved in breaking laws. They should be tried for severe punishment.
