Mangaluru, Oct 25: The inaugural function of the Student Council of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, was held on October 24 in the College Auditorium.

The programme commenced with an invocation, followed by a warm welcome address delivered by Athmi Shetty, president of the Student Council, who extended a heartfelt welcome to the chief guest, dignitaries, faculty members, and students.

Chinthan Rai introduced the chief guest, Ananya Hebbar, HR manager, Semnox Pvt Ltd, highlighting her professional achievements and contributions to the corporate sector.

The dignitaries then took part in the lighting of the lamp ceremony, symbolizing the beginning of a new academic year and the spread of knowledge and wisdom.

The list of Student Council office bearers was read by Dr Anant Kumar Kulkarni, HOD of the department of mathematics & SWO.

The event was presided over by Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, principal of Srinivas Institute of Technology, who delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the importance of student participation in institutional activities and encouraging them to take on responsibilities with dedication.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Malavika Ganesh M V, who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their active participation and support.

The event was efficiently compered by Sumana V S, faculty of the chemistry department, who ensured the smooth flow of the programme. The function concluded with the singing of the national anthem.
