Mangaluru: Catholic Sabha, Omzoor unit organizes special event ‘Malgadyanso Dees’

Mangaluru, Oct 27: Catholic Sabha, Omzoor Unit organized a special event titled ‘Malgadyanso Dees’ to honor and celebrate the elderly parishioners of Omzoor Parish. The celebration brought together around 75 senior citizens, who gathered for a day filled with prayer, joy, and fellowship.

The programme commenced with a Eucharistic celebration officiated by Fr William Menezes, parish priest of Omzoor, invoking God’s abundant blessings upon all the elderly members of the parish. Following the Mass, Francis Mendonca, president of the Catholic Sabha, extended a floral welcome to all the guests. This was followed by a series of fun games and entertainment activities, which filled the atmosphere with laughter and happiness.

The event concluded with a sumptuous lunch, shared by the senior citizens along with members of the Catholic Sabha, fostering a true spirit of togetherness and community.

The occasion was graced by the presence of Fr William Menezes, parish priest; Fr Victor D’Souza, residential priest; Arthur D’Souza, vice president, Church Council; Dafney Lewis, secretary, Church Council; and Elroy Saldanha, parish commission coordinator. 

The Catholic Sabha, Omzoor unit, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed towards making ‘Malgadyanso Dees’ a memorable and meaningful celebration dedicated to the elderly parishioners.

The programme was compered by Babitha D’Souza, and Sangeetha D’Souza rendered the vote of thanks.
