Mangaluru: Fish-laden pickup vehicle overturns at Jeppinamogaru; three injured

Mangaluru, Oct 28: In an early morning accident on Tuesday, a pickup vehicle transporting fish overturned near the Netravati bridge at Jeppinamogaru, leaving three people injured.

According to police sources, the accident occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to skid and overturn. The injured have been identified as Ratheesh (38), the driver, and two passengers — Shailaja (57) and Sharada (60). All three were immediately rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru for treatment.
 


The mishap took place around 6 am when the fish-laden pickup truck (Registration No. KL 14 N 8273) was heading from Mangaluru towards Thalapady in Kerala. Preliminary reports suggest that driver negligence led to the vehicle losing balance and overturning on the road.
 
A case has been registered, and further investigations are underway.
