Mangalore: 10-Day NSS Camp Begins at ZP Higher Primary School

Mangalore, Feb 15: Dr MV Shetty college of Physiotherapy, Mangalore, in association with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences inaugurated a 10-day NSS camp at DK Zilla Panchayat Higher Primary School, Thumbay, on Tuesday February 14.
UT Khadar, MLA, after inaugurating the camp, requested the local public to give their full support and participation to camps which provide so much free service to the needy.
Dr M Ramgopal Shetty, founder secretary, MV Shetty Trust Colleges, Mangalore, in his presidential address, congratulated the physiotherapy department for conducting NSS camps regularly every year in various parts of the district and thus helping people from many different areas.
Mamath Gatti, Zilla Panchayat member, advised that prevention is better than cure and NSS camps providing free screening services are a boon and should be utilized to gain maximum benefits for the general population.
The NSS camp will go on till Monday February 20. It will provide a series of special camps including free physiotherapy camp, free medical camp, free speech and language pathology camp, health surveys, health education and health awareness programmes aiming to provide maximum coverage to all the age groups of every category, stated a press release.
