Malpe ASI dies of heart attack during farewell function

Udupi, Nov 2: In a tragic incident, assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Vishwanath (56) attached to the Malpe police station passed away following a heart attack on Saturday night.

According to sources, Vishwanath collapsed suddenly while singing during a farewell function organized for police personnel at the station.

He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared that he had suffered a fatal heart attack.

Vishwanath had served in various police stations across the district and had recently been transferred to Malpe police station.
