Panaji, Nov 2: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Saturday announced that over 50,000 people have collected forms under the ‘Majhe Ghar’ scheme aimed at regularising houses across Goa, and the number is expected to touch 1 lakh soon.
Speaking to reporters, Sawant said that starting next week, the forms will be made available at deputy collectors’ and mamlatdar offices across the state to facilitate easier access for residents.

“The government’s goal is to legalise 100% of houses, especially those constructed before 1972. If there were around 1 lakh such houses, we expect at least half of the residents to complete the process of regularisation,” the Chief Minister said.
He further emphasised that the Majhe Ghar scheme was introduced to safeguard Goan homes from demolition and urged citizens to submit their forms within the six-month deadline.
