Mangaluru, Nov 3: Dashiel Amanda Concessao was honoured with the prestigious Dakshina Kannada District Rajyotsava Award 2025 – 26 for her outstanding achievements in skating. The award was presented by Dinesh Gundu Rao, minister for health and family welfare, government of Karnataka on November 1 at Nehru Maidan, Mangaluru.
A proud moment indeed for Derebail, Mangaluru, as Dashiel’s remarkable dedication, discipline, and perseverance in the field of skating have earned her this well-deserved recognition.
Dashiel is the daughter of Francis Concessao and Doris Concessao of Derebail, Mangaluru. And only sister of Dafnal and Daniel Concessao is also a sportsman. Dashiel completed her basic schooling at Cambridge School,12th at Presidency School and currently pursuing under graduate degree in BBA at SDM College of Business Management, Mangaluru.
Dashiel over all achieved 149 medals at District (57), State (48), Zoal (15), National (48) and international levels (2). Participated in the 9th Asian Winter Games held in Harbin secured 5th place in the relay. Dashiel is the mof Hi-Flyers Skating Club and mentored by coach Mohandas K at Mangaluru.
Her journey stands as an inspiration to many young talents aspiring to excel in sports.
