Sullia, Nov 6: An autorickshaw driver who was critically injured in a road accident at Jattipalla in Sullia on November 3, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Mangaluru on November 5.
The deceased has been identified as Prabhakar (54), a resident of Jallur. He is survived by his wife, son, and daughter.
The accident occurred at Boliyamajalu near Jattipalla when Prabhakar’s autorickshaw collided head-on with an oncoming car. The impact threw him off the vehicle, resulting in severe head injuries.
He was initially rushed to Sullia Government Hospital and later shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru for advanced treatment, where he breathed his last.
Sullia police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
