Mangaluru, Nov 8: Mangaluru witnessed a tragic road accident near Thimmappa Hotel on the opposite side of KSRTC Road on Saturday morning, Nov 8, when an elderly man lost his life after being struck by a speeding delivery bike and subsequently falling under a passing bus.
The incident occurred around 10.15 am as the man was reportedly crossing the road. A delivery bike, moving at high speed, hit him, causing him to lose balance and fall onto the road. At that moment, a Route No. 33 Venkateshwara bus was passing by, and the man was tragically run over.
Local residents and bystanders immediately alerted the authorities. Police personnel arrived at the scene and shifted the body for post-mortem examination.
Officials confirmed that a detailed investigation into the incident is currently underway.
