Mount Carmel skaters triumph at state roller skating championship

Mangaluru, Nov 9: Two students of Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru, Jesnia Correa and Glania Lobo excelled at the state-level speed roller skating competition held in Bengaluru from November 5 to 8, organised by the Karnataka Roller Skating Association.

Jesnia Correa of grade IX D clinched two gold medals in 1000 mtr rink race and lap road race, and one silver medal in 500 mtr rink race, and is selected for National level competition to be held in Vishakapattanam, Andhra Pradesh. Glania Lobo of grade II E secured one silver medal in rink 1 race.

The school management, principal, staff and students have congratulated Jesnia and Glania for their outstanding performance in skating and wished them success in their future events. The school also appreciates the efforts and dedication of their parents and coaches for the guidance and support given to them to achieve this remarkable feat.
