Lokayukta Police Raids Properties of Congress MLA Krishnappa

Bangalore, Feb 16 (PTI):
Lokayukta police today conducted raids at the premises of Congress MLA M Krishnappa and his son Priay Krishna, also an MLA, for allegedly amassing properties to the tune of around Rs 700 crore disproportionate to their known sources of income.

The raids were conducted at M Krishnappa's two residences in Vidyanagar and two offices located near Chalukya circle on Race Court road as part of a probe ordered by a Lokauukta court against them in connection with a private complaint, official sources said.

ATM cards belonging to Krishnappa and his two sons and various documents pertaining to their bank accounts were confiscated during the raids, they said.

Lokayukta Special Court Judge N K Sudhindra Rao had on January 16 directed the Superintendent of Police Lokayukta, Bangalore Urban, to investigate into a private complaint filed by city-based advocate H C Prakash and submit report to the court by February 18.

Prakash in the complaint filed on January nine against Krishnappa, his wife Priyadarshini Krishnappa, his two sons, Priya Krishna, MLA representing Govindrajnagar constituency, and Pradeep Krishna, alleged that they had amassed property to the tune of about Rs 700 crore, which was disproportionate to their known sources of income.

The complainant sought for action to be initiated under section 13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

Good work by Lokayukhta. But will this man get punishment? All his assets should be freezed. All MLA's and MP's in Karnataka who have excess assets should be raided irrespective of their party affiliations. I am sure now this MLA will fall sick (fake)to avoid imprisonment.

When an ordinary MLA can own a four storied palatial Bungalow, what about the MPs and the Ministers?
The Revenue collected for the development of rural India was sucked by Corrupt Politicians, Business Houses and the white collared Babus. The big sharks have stacked the loot in oversea banks and such banks of the so called advanced Western countries too are abetting with these National Drohees of this poor, over-populated and half-naked ‘Mera Bharat Mahaan’. The so called World policing WEST is silence about the developed world banks supporting such crooks.
They are responsible the hunger and death of our rural poor. These are the blue collared crooks sitting on our developments. Indirectly, they encourage the world BLACK MONEY from illegal arms dealers, under-world dons, corrupt politicians and tax-evading businessmen of the world.
There should be a revolutionary change in the world banking system. The Swiss and other notorious banks around the world should accept such huge black money deposits through bank transaction with an approval from the Reserve Bank of that Country.
    Jai Hind!

    Dear Readers,
Don't be too excited about this ride, Lokayukta do not have power to punish these culprits. Lokayukta may submit their recommendations but no action will be taken against any politicians and after some time we public also forget their ill deeds and vote these robbers to power. Therefore what we need is Anna Hazare's Jan Lokpal bill. Unfortunately these day's even media is bought by the politicians so that Anna's news is blocked or not published. God save our country and us.

The news article says that the Lokayukta Special Court Judge directed the SP of Lokayukta to conduct investigation on the 16th Of Jan and the investigation is done just yesterday almost after a month. I don't think Mr. Krishnappa has left anything to be recovered in respect of the complaint filed.

Well done Lok Ayukta, but more needs to be done. As another reader has commented all 224 MLA's need to be investigated as also all the MP's, IAS officers, IPS officers. 500 Billion plus dollars will come out of Karnataka itself which is more than the black money hoarded in swiss banks

A MLA and 700 crores of misappropriate assets. Waah! Every paisa is the blood of common man which these bugs have squashed. These kinds of bugs are the hindrance to the development of India. As long as we elect men with ill morals we can’t expect any good governance across party lines.
