Dubai, Nov 13: The Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) and the Royal Saudi Air Defense Force are participating in the large-scale ATLC-35 aerial warfare and missile defense exercise, being held in the United Arab Emirates, alongside several allied and friendly nations. The high-intensity exercise aims to boost combat readiness, strategic coordination, and joint operational planning through realistic simulations of air and missile warfare.

The Air Tactical Leadership Course (ATLC-35) is among the Middle East’s most prominent multinational air drills, hosted by the UAE’s Aerial Warfare and Missile Defense Center. The exercise focuses on enhancing multi-domain coordination, real-time threat response, and interoperability among participating nations. It provides a platform for air forces to practice large-scale air combat operations and strengthen collaborative defense mechanisms to address emerging regional security challenges.

Representing Saudi Arabia, the Royal Saudi Air Force has deployed its Tornado aircraft and specialized aircrews for a series of advanced operational missions, including:

• Defensive and offensive air operations simulating real-world engagements and countermeasures.

• Combat search and rescue drills to enhance rapid coordination in hostile environments.

• Night flight operations for navigation and situational awareness under limited visibility.

• Aerial refueling missions to ensure long-range endurance and sustained air presence.

These missions aim to hone tactical efficiency, improve coordination with partner forces, and maintain high levels of preparedness across diverse combat scenarios.

Building Defense Cooperation

The ATLC-35 serves as a vital platform for defense collaboration, tactical integration, and shared expertise among participating nations. Through joint missions, air forces exchange strategic insights, test advanced technologies, and refine coordination mechanisms essential for modern aerial warfare and missile defense.

With its active involvement, Saudi Arabia continues to demonstrate its commitment to regional stability, enhanced defense readiness, and strengthening its air power capabilities through multinational cooperation.

About ATLC-35

Now in its 35th edition, the Air Tactical Leadership Course (ATLC) is designed as an intensive combat training program blending aerial warfare and missile defense under realistic battlefield conditions. By bringing together cutting-edge aircraft, integrated air defense systems, and elite aircrews, ATLC-35 develops leadership in joint air operations and promotes unified command strategies essential for future coalition missions.

Over the years, ATLC has evolved into one of the region’s most critical defense training platforms, underscoring the growing emphasis on collaborative security and operational excellence among allied air forces.
