Sullia: Wild boar dashes onto road, car plunges off verge

Daijiworld Media Network - Sullia

Sullia, Nov 16: A routine drive turned alarming near Koltari–Kanakkooru on the Sullia–Bandadka interstate route on Sunday, November 16, when a wild boar suddenly sprang onto the road, forcing a car driver to lose control and career off the carriageway.

The vehicle was travelling from Sullia towards Bandadka in Kerala during the early hours when the boar “appeared out of nowhere,” according to locals familiar with the stretch.

Startled and unable to brake in time, the driver swerved, causing the car to topple into a roadside drainage trench.

The motorist, who was alone in the vehicle, escaped with only minor injuries and is said to have had a “miraculous escape” from what could have been a far more serious accident.

The car, however, was left badly damaged in the incident.
