Mangaluru: LCS Regale 2025 unites families in grand ‘Familia Frenzy’ celebration

Mangaluru, Nov 17: Lourdes Central School celebrated its much-awaited signature annual family fest, LCS Regale 2025 – Familia Frenzy, on November 15 with remarkable enthusiasm, unity and festive splendour. The event brought together students, parents, teachers, alumni and well-wishers in a vibrant celebration of togetherness and school spirit.

The day commenced with a grand royal entry by an impressive guard of honour and carnival escort by the class X students. Their ethnic attire added grace, colour and cultural vibrance, setting an energetic tone to the festivities.

The dignitaries who graced the day, Fr John Baptist Saldanha, school manager, Fr Johnson L Sequeira, principal, chief guest VJ Dixon, vice-principal Anita Thomas, Fr Vincent Sequeira, Fr Norman Mathias, assistant parish priest, Roydon Msquith, Fr Arul, head boy Aaryan Pai, head girl Kyra Hansika Prasada.

The eventful day began with a soulful prayer song by the teacher’s choir. Principal Fr Johnson L Sequeira then extended a warm welcome to the gathering, introduced the chief guest VJ Dixon, followed by the felicitation of the chief guest by the dignitaries.

The introduction of the Regale Mascot-Heart of LCS, by Shanthi added a delightful charm to the fest. The release of the Mascot by the dignitaries and the phenomenal dance by the chief guest and the little kids added charm to the entire celebration.

The chief guest, VJ Dixon, in his inspiring message, encouraged students to focus not just on academics but also co-curricular activities, nurture their talents to be successful in life. He urged the students to become well rounded personalities. Furthermore, thanked Dr J B Saldanha for being the inspiration in the early years of his career as a choreographer.

The days cultural performers- the ‘Lourdites’ were honoured with certificates for their zealous performance that made the day a true celebration of Familia Frenzy.

This was followed by a meaningful address by Fr John Baptist Saldanha, who emphasised the spirit of unity and familial bonding that the day symbolised. He blessed the students to bring name and fame to their Alma Mater.

The inauguration of the Regale Stalls marked one of the most anticipated highlights. Each section of the school showcased creativity and teamwork through a variety of engaging games.

Special attractions such as the selfie with Mascot – Heart of LCS and the eagerly awaited housie housie conducted by the teachers drew enthusiastic participation from all visitors. A surprise Flash Mob by students of class X and XII electrified the atmosphere, keeping the audience engaged and energized. To keep the vibe going and replenishing the energetic crowd were the sumptuous food counters courtesy Goldfinch, Laziz Pizza, Juice counters, Potato twister and the chatpata charmuri & sweet corn corner.

A captivating series of cultural performances showcased the artistic brilliance of LCS students and parents. Presented in multiple segments, the programme featured dance, music, drama, and thematic displays. Students impressed the audience with their disciplined performances, vibrant costumes and confident stage presence.

Adding a special flair to the day were the energetic performances by the LCS staff dance groups which highlighted the camaraderie and joyful spirit of the teaching fraternity. The celebrations culminated with the lively Familia Frenzy Baila where students and their families joined together on the open ground, embodying the true essence of unity and joy.

LCS Familia Frenzy proved to be a resounding success, reflecting the school’s commitment to nurturing strong community bonds and creating cherished memories. It was an unforgettable celebration that strengthened the relationship between families and the school leaving behind moments to treasure for years to come.
