Mangalore, Feb 18: Dean and head of the department of sociology in Mangalore University, Prof Jogan Shankar, has been appointed as a member of the university syndicate.

This appointment has been made on the basis of his seniority among professors of the university.

Prof Jogan has authored six works relating to sociology. Over a hundred of his articles have appeared in leading national and international publications.
