Byndoor: Moving car catches fire on flyover; passengers escape unhurt

Byndoor, Nov 20: A moving car suddenly caught fire and was completely gutted on the Navunda flyover on Thursday, November 20 afternoon.

The incident occurred when the car was travelling from Katkere in Kundapur towards Uppunda.

Driver Nitesh (31) and passenger Chandu (73) escaped without injuries.

Thick smoke engulfed the stretch of road, forcing authorities to temporarily halt traffic on the highway. Firefighters from the Byndoor fire station rushed to the spot and brought the flames under control. A case has been registered at Byndoor police station.
