Beltangady, Nov 24: MCC Bank, Mangaluru, marked the first anniversary of its Beltangady branch and celebrated the achievement of Rs 10 crore in business turnover while also inaugurating its 14th ATM at Vaibhav Arcade, near Church Road, Beltangady Highway, Beltangady, recently.
The ATM was inaugurated by Sumanth Kumar Jain, chairman, Excel Pre-University College, Guruvayanakere. It was blessed by Fr Roshan Crasta, administrator, Fr LM Pinto Health Centre Charitable Trust, Badyar. The first cash withdrawal was made by Fr Vijay Lobo, principal, Anugraha English Medium School, Ujire.


















The programme was presided over by Sahakara Ratna Anil Lobo, chairman, MCC Bank. Fr Clifford Pinto, principal, Holy Redeemer English Medium School, Beltangady, was present as guest. The first anniversary and the Rs 10 crore milestone were marked by cutting a cake.
In his presidential address, chairman Anil Lobo thanked the customers of the Beltangady branch for helping the branch achieve Rs 10 crore in business within its first year. He urged customers to continue their support to help the branch reach Rs 25 crore next year and requested them to introduce MCC Bank to their relatives and friends.
He highlighted that MCC Bank has strengthened its financial discipline and met all Reserve Bank of India parameters, enabling it to open new branches. He noted that the Bank continues its practice of honouring achievers in education, sports, and arts. Concluding his remarks, he thanked the board of directors, staff, customers, and the community, assuring that the Bank remains committed to offering quality services.
Delivering the first keynote address, Fr Roshan Crasta congratulated the Bank on inaugurating its 14th ATM and achieving Rs 10 crore turnover in the branch’s first year. He said such milestones begin with small steps backed by vision, dedication, and strong leadership. He recalled the leadership of chairman Anil Lobo when he served as vice president of the Valencia Parish Council and appreciated his generosity toward the poor and needy.
Sumanth Kumar Jain expressed happiness at being an MCC Bank customer and wished continued growth for the Bank in Beltangady taluk.
Fr Vijay Lobo thanked the Bank for the opportunity to be part of the ATM inauguration. He praised MCC Bank’s cordial service and professionalism and assured his support. He remarked that despite today’s competitive environment, the Bank’s strong financials reflect the management’s vision and the dedication of its staff.
As part of its social responsibility efforts, MCC Bank handed over a cheque for Rs 1,25,000 to Fr Roshan Crasta to purchase an emergency patient-shifting trolley with oxygen cylinder for the new emergency block at the health centre.
Educational achievers and customers of the Bank — Gaven Pinto, Jenisha Pereira, Sharon D’Souza, and Vivan Fleming D’Souza — were honoured for their SSLC and PUC accomplishments. Vilona D’Cunha was honoured for her achievements in sports.
Aloysius Lobo, advocate and customer of the Bank who has been elected president of the Beltangady Bar Association, was also honoured.
Praveen Fernandes, customer of the Bank who has been nominated general secretary of the Karnataka State Congress Minority Unit, was felicitated as well.
Customers who celebrated their birthdays on the November 22 were honoured with a cake-cutting ceremony. Shaji K V, who marked his 50th birthday on November 16, was also felicitated.
Director Vincent Lasrado welcomed the gathering. The programme began with a prayer by the Badyar choir group.
Directors Herold Monteiro, J P Rodrigues, general manager Sunil Menezes, deputy general manager Raj Menezes, senior manager Deril Lasrado, branch managers, staff, and a large number of customers were present.
