Kuwait: Play Starring Actress Bhagyashree Provides Rich Entertainment

Kuwait, Feb 18: Indian Cultural Society (ICS) presented 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi' a new concept of comedy play with blockbuster movie 'Maine Pyar Kiya' fame Bhagyashree and well-known film and TV star Akshay Anand, along with Krutika Sharma, Prairna Agarwal and Navin Kumar on Friday February 17 at American International School.

The chief guest of the day was Indian ambassador to Kuwait Satish Chand Mehta and Kuwaiti actor Dawood Hussein.

The programme started with the formal welcome address delivered by the ICS president and anchor of the day, Ashfaque Ahmed Khan, along with singing of the National Anthems of Kuwait and India. Satish Chand Mehta and Kuwaiti actor, Dawood Hussein along with Kohinoor Basmati rice General Manager Atul, Dr Nuna Goel of Nuna Counseling and other sponsors of the event released the souvenir and spoke a few words. The entertainment part started with a foot tapping dance by Kuwait Indian School students.

The drama took the audience to a new world, giving a break from their daily routine. The main character of the drama, Prem, a businessman has romantic fantasies for Menaka, an upcoming dancer but before he can tell her about his feelings, he is taken aback by his friend Frankie's surprise. Frankie introduces Prem to Pari who looks exactly like his despised wife Chanda. Prem did not like his wife and that is why he shows no interest in Pari. That very instant the spirit of Chanda enters the body of Pari. She slaps Prem declaring that now she has a body to house herself in and that she would keep visiting him.
 
That also means that she would not agree to Prem and Menaka's relationship. Now starts the comedy with hilarious situations, which are full of chaos and confusion. One day, eventually when Prem gives up because of Chanda's relentless authority, he also becomes aware that Pari has been looking after him well. Chanda's spirit reveals the reason for the failure of their marriage.
 
Both admit and realize their mistakes. But it is too late! Time has come for Chanda's spirit to depart from the mortal world and rest in peace. Chanda discloses her desire to Prem that he should marry Pari as she is the right lover but then leaves everything to Prem's conscience. Here comes the Twist. The suspense was how the drama ends with the final relation between Prem, Pari's and Menaka.

Famous director and actor Navin Kumar not only directed the play but also played the most comic and lovable role of Frankee Singh in the play. Model and actress Krutika Sharma was also a part of the play and made it more interesting. The play was written and produced by Prairna Agarwal under her own company Purvabhyas.

All the performers were honoured with Momentos. The evening was completely filled with good quality humour and melodrama. The whole programme was well compered by Ashfaque Ahmed Khan in his popular humorous way.
